My dad bought me my first guitar when I was about 14. It was a top twenty frame Guitar from Woolworths with a massive headstock. I used to stand outside the house with the stereo playing ?Apache? which I used to mime for the neighbours.
After many years of playing to massive audiences in my bedroom I saw an advert in the paper for a singer, so I went to the audition, really nervous (mind you it was only someone?s front room). Anyway they liked what they heard and that was the start. After about 7 years singing in a Floyd tribute we disbanded. So I now saw a chance to play lead and sing ? which was my dream
I am also building a studio and having the band write some of our own material ? of course it will be Floyd orientated.
My favourite bands are; Genesis, Yes, Camel and Marillion.
My Gear is: A Fender 50th Anniversary Strat with DG-20 EMG pickups, a Fender Telecastor (borrowed from Dean), a Yamaha Acoustic, a Gretsch Lap Steel. I also use a home made talk box through a line 6 head.
Amps: Marshall 50/50 power amp, Digitech 2120 + control one, Marshall 100 watt acoustic amp + 2x1936 cabs.
