I started playing the drums at the age of 13 and joined my first band at school. I have always been a big fan of progressive rock i.e. Elp, Genesis Hawkwind and of course Floyd which I was fascinated by the relatively new sound of the synth. So it wasn?t long before I started messing around with new sounds and writing music and even though it opened up a whole new world, I stayed on the drums and played in various bands, most notably ?The Moths? who have recently got back together and are doing the occasional gig.
After playing with Mike in a band called ?Time Machine? as a drummer, I decided to concentrate on writing again and it was about a year later Mike convinced me to start on a Pink Floyd Tribute band called Pure Floyd as a Keyboard player.
Pure Floyd is the first band that I have played the keyboard with and it is such a huge learning curve. I would like to take this opportunity in thanking my sister Ruth who has a great singing partnership with Kelly for looking after me and making sure I never go hungry. My gear consists of a Hammond XKI, a Korg Triton and a Roland XP50.
